AFNIC provides a variety of services to children with neurological disorders in Texas. To obtain services, you will have to first become a member (the fee is $50/year). Click here to join. If you are unsure about joining, you may call us to discuss, for up to one hour, how we might be able to help your child before you have to become a member. There is a relatively small charge for each of our services. We reserve the right to determine to whom we will provide services and which services will be provided.
If you would like to enquire about obtaining services, please contact our executive director Phil at ferrara54@tx.rr.com

President's corner: a more detailed description of what AFNIC does.
Please note the changes in AFNIC’s fee schedule effective July 1, 2009.
Parent/teacher training: a summary of our training, a flyer you can give to your school, letters of recommendation from doctors, and letters from satisfied parents and schools. The parents are required to pay us $50 for parent training per family. We provide school staff training to schools for a fee of $300. The school staff training fee is reduced to $150 if an AFNIC parent is paying for the training and not being reimbursed by the school.
Special education advocacy: how we can help you in special education meetings between the parents and school. The parents are required to pay us $250 for up to three hours for any school meetings we attend, and $50 per hour for each hour thereafter.
Telephone support: how and when we can provide telephone support to you. You get three hours per year without charge for telephone support, email support, document review, and document preparation, but after that the fee is $25 per hour.
Information: newsletters, latest news, news archives, publications. There is no charge for this service.
Travel: If we have to travel more than one hour round trip to a meeting or training, there will be an additional charge for each hour of travel in excess of one hour.
If your family makes less than $30,000 per year and you are unable to afford these fees, please contact us about alternative ways that you can support AFNIC. Through a generous seed money donation by the Wildflower Church in Austin, we have created "The Wildflower Scholarship Fund" to help those families.
